Summer is almost here, and that means a LOT of partying (for some of you. And with that in mind, we thought we’d curate a list non-conventional (but not totally necessary) items to take along to the party to keep the night going. If you don’t know what a circuit party is, and you’re thinking about attending one for the first time, you’ve come to the right place.
What is a circuit party?
Think of any other party that you’ve been to…lights, a DJ, great venue, typically hot bartenders, but imagine everyone in their sexiest outfit of choice. Some circuit parties are themed, which means that many of the partygoers are dressed within that theme. For instance, Deviant has hosted a number of parties with themes based around color, animal prints, uniforms (i.e. military gear), you name it. Circuits are basically parties where you dance in as little as possible.
And we think fellow circuit boys will agree that the parties are a place to let your hair down. If you see someone hooking up in the bathroom or even on the dance floor, that’s common practice here, however, circuits are really a place to simply be free, enjoy the vibes, and celebrate your body – however you choose.
Now lets get into what you should take with you to the party.
1. Deodorant Wipes (Yes, They’re a Thing)
The last place you want to get caught slipping is at a circuit party surrounded by hundreds of sexy guys. We get it, we’re all dancing, sweating, and who knows what else, but we can’t stress the importance of having a few deodorant wipes on you.
2. Gum
Throughout the night, you’ve probably had a couple of drinks, made out with a guy or three, snuck off to the bathroom a couple times, and now your breath is starting to smell like bad decisions. Pack a few sticks of gum or a small pack of Listerine breath strips to keep the fun going.
3. Lube
This is only for those who plan to hook up. Sure, you never know if it will happen, but there’s no worst feeling than meeting a hot guy at the party and you aren’t prepped with the supplies. Gun Oil, Valm, or whatever silicone-based lube you typically use probably comes in a travel size. Make sure to protect those walls.
4. Phone Case with Card Holder
This might be a given, but having somewhere to store your credit cards and ID is a smart move when you’re heading to circuits. If you’re not one of those who carry a crossbody bag, or tuck it in your harness somewhere, invest in a phone case (with a wrist strap if possible) that has a few slot for your cards. Thank us later. The most annoying thing is losing something on a circuit party dance floor. ๐
5. Anything Hydrating
Dehydration is the worst thing to experience (especially at a circuit party). Having a liquid I.V. hydration pack with water is the perfect pre-game drink before heading out to ensure proper hydration for the night to come. And if you’re planning to hit the afters, pack one for the trip. You’ll wake up feeling somewhat refreshed, and often-times, hangover free.
